Summary

Visual graphs and charts are an intrinsic part of our everyday lives. But their visual-only nature make them inaccessible to visually impaired users. This project focused on designing a solution to make visual graphs and charts accessible to visually impaired users. It followed a design process of research, exploration, ideation, divergence and then convergence on the solution that would make the most impact. This solution was then prototyped and tested with 20 sighted and 20 visually impaired users. It led to the formulation of a solid research backed design framework for creation of auditory graphs.
